Pa´La Calle (Hit the Streets) is the expression Cubans use when fans want a baseball batter to hit a home run. It is also used to refer to mobilizing people for a street protest or to mean getting rid of established politicians. This popular baseball expression has multiple political meanings depending on the context.
Hablará Mañana (He Will Speak Tomorrow) refers to the endless speeches that used to be given by Fidel Castro, dominating the airwaves for up to eight hours at a time. It also refers to politicians everywhere who drone on but say very little.
Rumbo al Territorio Liberado (Toward a Liberated Territory) refers to the idea in Cuba of moving toward socialism. The flags reference the anti-imperialist plaza that was built in front of the US Interest Section in Havana to block out anti-revolutionary propaganda by the US government. Where is the liberated territory? Is it in Cuba or in the US?
